Category Archives: Football Party

I love how this party turned out.  We worked along side Anne Rogers Mitchell of Anne Rogers Productions.
Her parties are always spectacular. I just love working with her.

It all starts with the invite.  Above is a portion of what was sent to the guests.  Love love love the color combo.

The placecards were mini foam fingers placed in a bed of grass

A backdrop framed out the adult bar and lounge area

We found a giant blimp (12′ long), customized it, and hung it above the dance floor.  We added vinyl d├ęcor to the dance floor to look like a football field.

Our centerpieces were created from pom poms, megaphones, footballs and wheat grass

The popcorn bar featured the delicious local popcorn from the Just Pop In girls.  We scooped the Chicago Mix popcorn out of orange and blue sports coolers.

Our tailgate buffet held the kids snacks.

The beautiful adult centerpieces were created by The Empty Vase. Anne found this amazing linen that looked like football jerseys

Classic Cakes did an amazing job on the four tiered cake.

The lounges featured white furniture and glow tables by The Engledow Group.  We provided the football field carpet and football jersey pillows

OK… I know our Colts didn’t make it past the playoffs but I thought I would share some ideas from our Colts Playoffs Party.  You could easily translate these ideas for your Super Bowl Party this Sunday.

Here we started with a 5′ round table, dressed it with blue floor length linen and topped it with an AstroTurf topper.
The centerpiece was a a colts helmet, pom poms and megaphones.
I wrapped a sweat band around each napkin, used Pottery Barns vintage football plates and made a football wrap for the rocks glasses.
For the kids table we used the same blue cloth, kid sized chairs with little jersey’s as “chair covers”
The table centerpiece was a mini candy/trinket buffet with blue and white gumballs, blue and white m&m’s, mini pom poms, “bad call footballs” (squishy footballs to throw at the TV when the referee makes a bad call)  pennants and mini helmets.
Here is a really bad phone pic of the kids place setting.  The charger plate was a “coaches clipboard” with a mini pom pom, Colts pennant and blue Gatorade.
The bar table featured a chalkboard centerpiece with a football play.
Other details included a signature blue drink and wristbands wrapped around beer mugs.

Lucas Oil Stadium was the incredible backdrop for our Blitz & Glitz event. The mezzanine was set with lots of tables dressed in sparkly blue and silver linen overlooking the Colts playing field. Half of the centerpieces were footballs with real grass in sleek silver bases and the other half of the centerpieces were glitzy lamps. The base was filled with acrylic diamonds and the lampshade dripped with chandelier drops and the entire piece was lit with blue lights. The built in stage is an amazing sculpture in itself. It’s the iconic horseshoe shape with lighted columns. The guests toured the locker rooms, field and stadium then they were treated to a served dinner.

Tackling Homelessness is Horizon House’s major fundraising event. Not only is it a fun event, it is for a fantastic cause. The Horizon House is a place for our homeless neighbors to go to help get them back on their feet. They provide, job training, clothing, food and support to those in need. This years event was hosted by Dallas Clark of the Indianapolis Colts. Many Colts players showed up to sign autographs, take photos with patrons and help raise money. Connersvine (Hunter Smith’s band) provided awesome music for the evening. Setting the Mood donated the decor for the event.

We’re in the thick of football season so I thought I would feature one of our football parties. We created football tickets for placecards and whatever team was on the ticket was the team table that you were assigned to. We had all 32 NFL teams. We used the clients old football jerseys as overlays for cocktail tables. A Heisman ice martini luge was showcased at the bar. We also created tailgates for the buffets
